Beginners Mahjong Class

About the Event
Invented during the nineteenth century, mahjong has become China’s most popular game. In this game of strategy and luck, the excitement lies in the decisions that you constantly have to make. Will discarding a tile give you an advantage, or would it be more prudent to stay with a decent hand? We will learn a short history of the game from a mahjong specialist, who will also explain the tiles and general rules. We will then learn the tile allocation ritual and how to play the game.
