About the Event

Ding came to Shanghai at the age of 18 and followed a master to learn how to hand make violins. What’s driving this young man to continue the journey of his handcraft work when most of the world is utilizing machine-made instruments? “Machine has no life, it’s the people who give soul to music,” says Ding. Let’s follow our guide, Lisa Zhu, to visit this hidden violin workshop in a beautiful area of the city and meet Ding. We will listen to his story and admire his handmade violins.
