About the Event
Hengsha Island is famously known as the longevity eco-island. It is a clean and quiet place that has no industry. With tree coverage over at least 70% and orchards everywhere, it is a tremendous joy to cycle on this charming island. We will take the bus for one and a half hours from Shanghai to Changxing Island and then take a short ferry ride to Hengsha. Once we get to the island, we will choose our bikes and cycle for one hour to a nice restaurant for lunch. After lunch, we will bike along the coastline where we can see the wetlands, birds, and buffalos. We will continue to bike to a few villages and finish our ride at an organic farm where we can pick fresh vegetables. Cycling distance is around 30km. A support vehicle will be traveling with us and will be available to board if anyone tires of peddling.
