About the Event
Built in 1930 by French investors, bu gao li is one of the most well-preserved old shikumen-style residence compounds that remain in Shanghai. Many famous Chinese celebrities used to make their homes here. On this tour, Lisa Zhu will take us to explore this living heritage, where we will visit a family who has lived there for more than a half century and glimpse the typical Shanghai shikumen lifestyle. We will wrap up the tour with a delicious local lunch at a restaurant in the neighborhood!
