About the Event
Known as 'Hamptons of China', Moganshan has been appealing to many foreign missionaries, Chinese gangsters such as Du Yuesheng and Zhangxiaolin, and high-profile politicians such as Chairman Mao and Chiang Kai-shek. It's first found and settled in the late 1800s by missionaries and their families to escape the summer heat and humidity in Shanghai.
Moganshan is famous for the lush bamboo groves, green forests and mountains. The streams also help soothe the heat. Though Moganshan National Park is now a very popular summer resort for tourists you always can find a quiet and tranquil village to hike around.
In this trip, we will hike (moderate level, family friendly) to the summit of the mountain next to Moganshan National Park and then walk to another village to check out a beautiful lagoon there after lunch!
