About the Event
Zhujiajiao, also named "Pearl Stream," is crisscrossed by rivers and canals, 36 ancient stone bridges, and thousands of buildings from Ming and Qing dynasties architecture. There’s one large ancient stone bridge called "Fangsheng bridge" or "Settingfree bridge" where you can purchase fish to release for good luck. Join us as Janny Chyn from Shanghai Pathways guides us on this special dragon boat festival tour and take us to local shops to try the local festival food, zongzi (rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves), and see how they are made. During this trip, we will try many different dumplings and our knowledgeable local guide will explain how the local cuisine is shaped by the area's rich cultural history.
