About the Event
Come with us on a bike ride through Hengsha Island. Hengsha Island is a clean and quiet eco-island in Shanghai, full of bamboo forests and orange groves. With no large industrial facilities on the island, it is one of Shanghai's most beautiful countryside’s. We will take a 1.5-hour bus ride from Shanghai to Changxing Island, and then a short ferry ride to Hengsha Island. Once we get to the island, we will choose our bikes and cycle for 1 hour to a nice restaurant for lunch.
After lunch, we will bike along Hengsha Island’s coastline where we can see wetlands full of birds and buffalos, and villages where farmers' houses are encircled with beautiful flowers and plants. We will end our bike ride at an orchard to pick oranges.
Cycling distance is about 30km. A support vehicle will be available for those who do not want to pedal.
