About the Event
Qigong baduanjin is one of most famous qigong. This traditional Chinese qigong has been in existence for more than 1000 years. It was very popular during the Song dynasty (960-1279AD), like tai chi is nowadays. Because of its effectiveness for keeping the body fit, it was used by Shaolin monks as one of the basic entry level exercises for Shaolin martial arts. Join us as we learn and practice the eight beautiful movements in baduanjin that combine movement with our energy and breathing. Baduanjin is an ideal lifetime exercise for most people. It is especially recommended for people who work at desks every day. These exercises can strengthen one's internal organs as well as one's muscles and tendons. Practicing baduanjin can improve one's well-being.
Master Chen is a veteran martial arts teacher and has been teaching qigong and tai chi for 31 years.
