About the Event
The class is an introduction to screen printing. We will learn the process of cutting out an image you have brought with you (don't worry, advice on this will be given in advance of the class), attaching it to the screen printing film, and creating one or two colored images. We will be able to test our screen print on paper (perfect for framing) before creating a tote bag to take home! Pinyin Press is a designer brand of contemporary housewares and gifts inspired by the simple, day-to-day realities of life in China. Through hand-drawn illustrations, print, and pattern, Pinyin Press seeks to communicate its own observations, appreciation and fascination with a culture that inspires on every level. Sarah Armstrong is the Founder and Designer of Pinyin Press. She graduated from Textile Design at Central Saint Martins as a specialist in print design.
