About the Event
Join this walking tour to learn about the development of the western part of the Former French Concession (FFC). This is the leafy, affluent, and eminently walkable part of the FFC that grew between the two World Wars, and is home to a kaleidoscope of people from China and across the globe. Your guide, Historic Shanghai founder Patrick Cranley, has been leading walks in different parts of the city since 2001. The stories of the residents and architects of the beautiful homes and apartments in this neighborhood will bring the area to life and explain why it was the most fashionable part of the city back in the day – and some would say, still is today!
