Harbin Snow & Ice Festival

As one of China's largest winter events, the Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival is a must-see attraction. Each year thousands of workers recreate famous landmarks and other buildings using crystal-clear blocks of ice from the local river. During our three days’ visit, we will view the amazing sculptures in Harbin Ice and Snow World; experience local activities like ice sloping and ice boating on the frozen Songhua River; experience the Russian influences of the region by walking through Central Street and St. Sophia Church; and meet the big cats at the Siberian Tiger Park.

Tibetan Buddha Festival

CANCELED.

The Tibetan Buddha Festival is a traditional religious festival. It is held from the fifth day of the first month to the sixteenth day of the first month of the Tibetan calendar. This year’s festival starts on February 16, 2021.

There are more than one million Tibetans living in northwest China’s Qinghai province. Celebrating the Buddha Festival is one of the most important events among Tibetans. Our tour starts in Xining, the capital of Qinghai Province, where we will visit the 400-year-old Taer Monastery and Tibetan Museum. Then we will travel to Tongren, 168 km from Xining, where we will celebrate the Tibetan Buddha Festival with the locals, participate in the Grand Buddha worship activity, and appreciate the Tibetan Tangka Painting Art.

Jingdezhen Ceramics

Known as the “Porcelain City”, Jingdezhen was the designated source for all porcelain goods in the Imperial household for over 900 years. It has a history of porcelain making dating back nearly two millennia. The majority of the world’s fine Chinese ceramics dating from that time can be traced to Jingdezhen’s workshops. Today Jingdezhen remains a major source of ceramic goods found around the world.

On this tour we will see the ancient wood-fired kilns, learn the history of China’s fine ceramics, and see contemporary ceramic art studios.

Sichuan Panda Tour

Po’s home in the secret panda village only existed in the movie Kung Fu Panda 3. But in Sichuan, there are real homes of the giant panda. We will visit the giant pandas’ homes on this tour, in addition to the nature reserve area in Wolong, and the breeding center in Chengdu. Currently, there are more than one hundred giant pandas living in both homes. We will also discover the UNESCO heritage sites of the picturesque Mount Qingcheng and the Dujiangyan Irrigation System where the giant pandas used to live in ancient times. We will also taste the famous cuisine of Sichuan. The Sichuan Panda Tour is an absolute must!

Ningbo weekend tour

Ningbo is one of China’s oldest cities. It was known as a trade city on the Silk Road at least two thousand years ago. Today its port, the port of Ningbo-Zhoushan, is among the busiest in the world.

This spring we will visit Ningbo. We will explore one of the oldest libraries in the world, learn the history of this port town, and have a relaxing getaway.

Charming Qingdao Weekend Getaway

Located on the southern seaboard of the Shandong peninsula, Qingdao is a nice change from the bustling Chinese mega cities. The Bavarian appearance of the city and its own brewery are attractions for every visitor. On this trip, we will visit Mount Laoshan, one of the birthplaces of Chinese Taoism. We will also enjoy fresh seafood at one of the many beach promenade restaurants, visit the former German governor’s residence, and visit the beer festival, which will round up our weekend in a perfect way.

The wide, heavily irrigated valley between the Yellow River and the base of Helan Mountain has proven to be one of China's most promising vineyard areas. Guilin and Lijiang River Tour

Guilin is a beautiful city located in the northeast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in south China. The city is surrounded by two rivers and four lakes and is studded with sheer-sided karst mountains.

On this tour we will take the famous Lijiang River Cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo County, enjoying the scenic journey along the picturesque Lijiang River. The beauty of the Lijiang River lies in its clear and graceful waters and its curious rock formations.  In Yangshuo we will explore the natural splendors on bike or on foot. In addition to the natural wonders, we will also watch "the Impression of Liu San Jie" music and dance show and discover the distinctive ethnic minority culture.

Xiamen is a coastal city located in southeast Fujian Province beside the Taiwan Strait. A proclaimed Garden City, Xiamen is consistently ranked among the most livable places in China. The Shangri-la-like island Gulangyu Island, which is eight minutes by ferry from the city, offers amazing views of Xiamen and features many Victorian-style European buildings. Xiamen is also the gateway to Hakka Tulou, the residence and fortress of the Hakka people. Gulangyu Island and Hakka Tulou are UNESCO World Heritage Sites and we will explore them both during this trip. In addition to these cultural and natural sites we will also enjoy Xiamen’s fresh air and its subtropical weather in December.
