ART EVENT: Survey of Art in China taught by Julie Chun 

Session 1 – From the Ground Up 

  SEA is excited to re-commence this fall a university-level course on Chinese art history taught by Julie Chun, Adjunct Professor of Art History. Through a series of thematic studies, we will explore China’s rich material culture and examine how art and objects can visually illustrate broader aspects of Chinese culture, history, and society. 

These two-hour sessions will provide an accessible and substantive introduction to topics that extend beyond art history to better understand the cultural beliefs, social structures, and historical forces that have shaped China.
