As part of our ongoing 2024–2026 art history series for SEA, Survey of Art in China, we invite you to join us for an in-depth study of contemporary art in China. Taught by Julie Chun (Adjunct Professor of Art History), this sit-down lecture will trace the fascinating rise and trajectory of Chinese contemporary art. Topics include: How is contemporary art defined? Who are the leading artists? And how did the historical conditions enable Chinese art to develop, flourish and gain prominence in the international art world?
