Zhenjiang and Yangzhou

About the Event

First constructed in the period of 770-476 BC, China’s Grand Canal is now the oldest canal in the world. This vast waterway system originates in Beijing and runs through many cities and towns. Along the canal are Zhenjiang and Yangzhou, two cities with a history of 2500 years. We will visit the Gold Hill and its temple in Zhenjiang and ride a boat on the Slim West Lake, at the most beautiful part of the Grand Canal. In addition to visiting these famous attractions, we will taste Huaiyang Cuisine, one of the Four Great Traditions in Chinese cuisine.
