Baduanjin qigong is one of most famous types of qigong exercise in China. This traditional Chinese qigong has been in existence for more than 1000 years. It was very popular in the Song dynasty (960-1279 AD), like tai chi is today. Because of its effectiveness, it was used by Shaolin monks as one of the basic exercises for Shaolin martial arts.

Baduanjin is comprised of eight movements and is an ideal exercise for most people, especially for those who work at desks every day. The eight exercises can strengthen one's internal organs as well as one's muscles and tendons. Join us as we learn to combine these movements with our energy and breathing.

Master Chen will lead this session. He is a veteran martial arts teacher and has been teaching qigong and tai chi for 31 years.
