Beginner’s Mahjong Class
Time & Location
About the Event
Invented during the 19th century, Mahjong became China’s most popular game. You can see it being played everywhere – in the parks and on the streets. In this game of strategy and luck, the excitement lies in the decisions you constantly have to make. Is it preferable to discard a tile and thus gain an advantage, or would it be more prudent to stay with a decent hand? A Mahjong specialist will introduce us to the game with its history and will explain the tiles and the general rules. We will then learn how to set up the game by building the tile wall. We will have ample time to practice by playing several games. Join us for a fun and exciting morning.
