About the Event
Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at a modern car factory? Join us for a visit to SAIC-Volkswagen and discover how German automotive expertise meets Chinese innovation.
During this tour, we will get a firsthand look at modern automotive manufacturing, including the technologies behind Industry 4.0 and the production of premium electric vehicles. SAIC-Volkswagen was one of China's earliest automotive joint ventures and the first with a German car manufacturer. We will explore conventional vehicle production facilities as well as the new SAIC-Audi AUDI Intelligent Manufacturing Base.
The visit includes a working assembly line, an exhibition hall, and a new production workshop. Travel time is approximately one hour each way, with the factory tour itself lasting around one hour.
