Jiading District is located in the northwestern part of Shanghai and connected to downtown Shanghai by the Hujia Expressway, the first expressway in China. Jiading is well known for its modern Shanghai Auto Museum and Shanghai International Circuit, but there is also much to explore in its old and long history.

We will try yellow straw weaving, one of the traditional handicrafts that is listed as a national level Intangible Cultural Heritage. We will also visit the Jiading Confucian Temple, which has gone through several repairs over the past eight hundred years and is one of the best conserved Confucian temples in China.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend the event after receipt of confirmation, please notify us immediately by emailing events@seashanghai.org. If it's the day of the event, please ALSO notify the coordinator listed on the event by phone, text, or WeChat.

If you need to cancel after March 10, our SEA cancellation policy applies which states you might still have to pay for your registered event, depending on the vendor. SEA will notify you to either collect or let you pay it at your next registered event.
