Hengsha Island is famously known as the longevity eco-island. It is a clean and quiet place that has no industry. With tree coverage over at least 70% and orchards everywhere, it is a tremendous joy to cycle on this charming countryside island park.

We will take the bus from Shanghai for 1.5 hours to Changxing Island and then a short ferry ride to Hengsha. Once we get to the island, we will collect our bikes and cycle for one hour along the coastline where we can see wetlands with birds and sometimes buffalos. Then, we will make our way to a local restaurant in the village and try some island dishes. After lunch, we will pick some vegetables from the family vegetable garden.
