About the Event

Peach blossoms are seen as a symbol of love and prosperity. The annual Nanhui Peach Blossom Festival is the best place to surround ourselves with masses of pink blossoms.

We will take a bus for 1.5 hours from the city and bike in the beautiful countryside of Nanhui. Biking through the sea of blossoms is a great way to welcome spring. We will then have lunch at a restaurant that is owned by the local farmers. We will try some home-style dishes and fresh vegetables and fully enjoy the gifts of nature.

In the afternoon, we will drive to Dishui Lake in Shanghai’s far southeast. We will bike a little around the lake. Finally, we will end the ride at Nanhuizui Seaview Park where we may hang out by the ocean before we take the bus back.

In the event we miss seeing the flowers in full bloom due to weather conditions, we will still bike through the countryside and will ride to a farm to pick strawberries before lunch.

Cycling distance is 25 kilometers.
