Thames Town is a replica of a classic British town on the outskirts of Shanghai. Chinese people sometimes say, “The way to live best is to eat Chinese food and live in a British house.” We will find out whether that is true.

We will meet at Hengshan Road metro station and take a van to Sheshan. (For those bringing your own bike, there will also be transport for the bikes.) Upon arrival, we will start our ride from the base of Sheshan Mountain, the only mountain range in Shanghai. The area is perfect for cycling, with much greenery and very well-paved roads. We will proceed to bike around the Moon Lake Sculpture Park by Phoenix Hill and East Sheshan. Then we will continue our ride to Thames Town and bike along the picturesque lake and on the cobblestone streets with Victorian, Georgian, and Tudor-style houses while playing a game…
