About the Event
The Chinese fan has a long history and is an integral part of national culture in China. A round silk fan was especially favored by ladies in the palace since the Tang dynasty, and has gained popularity ever since. Patterns on the fans are diverse, including calligraphy, landscape painting, plants, characters, etc. It is not only an elegant tool to cool down with but also tells the story of Chinese art. In this event, we will learn about Chinese painting and calligraphy, and we will make a beautiful fan under the guidance of the teacher.
