About the Event
Why do Chinese value jade more than diamonds? We will find out that answer in this tour at the Shanghai Museum. Valerie will walk us through the Jade gallery and provide an overview of the historical and cultural significances of Chinese jade from the Neolithic period to the early 20th century – as well as some buying tips for jade.
Born and educated in Hong Kong, Valerie Wu spent four years in Taipei working as a volunteer tour guide at the Taipei National Palace Museum.
