Hangzhou is one of China’s most beautiful cities and a wonderful destination to visit year-round. Join SEA on a Day Trip in partnership with Fly, our guide from the Shanghai Outing Club, for an unforgettable journey into Hangzhou’s lush tea country. 

Our day will begin with a short train ride from Shanghai to Hangzhou, followed by a scenic morning hike along paved natural trails (approximately 5 km total), working up our appetite for a delicious shared lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit a working tea plantation, where participants will have the opportunity to pick tea leaves from this season’s harvest and learn how tea is cultivated and processed. We will also visit a local tea farmer, who will guide us through the art of traditional tea making.
