Dumpling Tour and Marriage Market
Time & Location
About the Event
The Chinese are famous for their dumplings, but did you know each region in China has its own style of dumpling? Soup ones, fried ones, steamed ones, vegetable ones, and even the ones with sticky rice! Our local guide, Lisa Zhu, will take us to enjoy a dumpling feast along with some other delicious local snacks. At the end, we will stop by the well-known “marriage market.” Lisa will explain why it exists and how it works, plus how the Chinese have changed their opinions about marriage in the past decades.
