Exploring the Exhibition “Wild Cinema” with Julie Chun
Time & Location
About the Event
The notion of art and commerce becomes quite literal, especially in a metropolis such as Shanghai, which was a historical treaty port and still remains so. We have witnessed art in hotels and shopping malls but what kind of statement is now made when art exhibitions are deliberately curated in shopping malls? Is there an agenda beyond entertainment? Should art trespass the boundaries into consumer goods? Come and join the conversation with art critic and historian Julie Chun.
