About the Event
At the start of the 20thCentury, Shanghai was one of the most exciting places to be in the world and the Art Deco movement was starting in France. The Fairmont Peace Hotel, a Shanghai landmark, first opened in September 1929 and was designed entirely in the Art Deco style. It was an iconic part of the golden era in Shanghai and served as a glamorous playground for the elite at that time. This luxurious Art-Deco masterpiece revives memories of old Shanghai cabarets and extravagant gala parties. Join us for a tour of the hotel after which we will enjoy a gastronomy set lunch in the Jasmine Lounge.
The set lunch includes:
Boston lettuce salad, homemade duck Prosciutto, cured miso egg yolk, hazelnut vinaigrette
54 ⁰C poached Scottish salmon in olive oil, grilled asparagus, saffron beurre blanc, crispy baby cuttlefish
Osmanthus cheesecake, caramelized hazelnuts, glutinous rice sorbet
