Hidden Treasures around People’s Square
Time & Location
About the Event
People’s Square was previously a horse racing track during colonial time in the 1920’s. Lots of celebrities used to settle in this area and it was also home of the first bird and insect market in Shanghai! Today some of the old homes have being converted to bars and hostels. Our guide, Lisa Zhu, who was raised in the area, will take us on an excursion that’s a combination of history, food, and drinks - plus some great views of the city! We will visit a few delicious, secret, local food stands, fun bars, and explore the old lane houses. Ready to rock a party in the heart of the city?
