Shanghai is a place where we can find a wide variety of pearls at a reasonable price. But many of us do not know how to choose and differentiate between fake and genuine pearls. Join us as Lillian Hu, founder of Faye Jewelry and a talented jewelry designer, tells us the different types of pearls available in the market and how to choose pearls for yourself or a gift. She will also show us different styles of pearl necklaces and how to wear them.

Each attendee will receive one Akoya pearl that we can turn into a ring or pendant at a minimal cost.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend an event after receipt of confirmation, please notify us immediately by emailing events@seashanghai.org.  If it's the day of an event, please ALSO notify the coordinator listed on the event by phone, text or WeChat. 

If you need to cancel after the event’s cancel-by date, our SEA cancellation policy applies which states you might still have to pay for your registered event, depending on the vendor. SEA will notify you to either collect or let you pay it at your next registered event.
