About the Event
Discover small, family-run restaurants that prepare their food like they have for generations on this intimate walking tour through the Former French Concession. Between food stops, we will learn about the foods that locals love and why they became so popular as each dish, restaurant, and neighborhood is explained by our guide. Watch Shanghai's most famous dish, soup dumplings, being prepared fresh to order at our favorite dumpling shop in town. Then try a few traditional Shanghainese dishes such as braised pork belly at a bustling local hangout. Slurp down the city's most popular noodle dishes in a hidden local shop that's been serving the same recipe for decades. Finally, finish the night at a family-friendly pub for a pint of small-batch, locally brewed beer.
