Luwan - the heart of the Former French Concession
Time & Location
About the Event
This part of the Former French Concession once had the flair of Paris in the East. Plane trees, mansions, and noble apartment buildings made this area famous for its wealth.
The area around Fuxing Park is extremely beautiful with theatres, cinemas, cafés, and bistros. Most famous was the “Canidrome” – a dog racecourse where greyhounds ran, and people bet on them.
Join us for a stroll with Carolin Billetter from China Culture Consulting to see the beauty and leisure atmosphere of colonial times in Luwan.
