Join us at Yuan Chinese Art Workshop where artist Zhang Jinbao will teach us Chinese art, Chinese philosophy, and the techniques of traditional Chinese painting. Mr. Zhang is a painter of the Huaxia National Art Painting and Calligraphy Institute in Beijing. His work “National Beauty and Heavenly Fragrance” won the gold award at the ‘National Exhibition of Painting and Calligraphy during the Unforgotten Period’ in Beijing. He has been a senior teacher for over ten years. We will watch as he paints peonie flowers and explains the fundamental characteristics of Chinese ink painting. Under his guidance, we will then create our own paintings on rice paper.

This class is kid friendly from age eight and up.
