About the Event
Join Vanessa Muscari as we continue our journey through Chinese thought — this time wandering into the playful and paradoxical world of Zhuangzi. Building on the insights of Laozi and the Daodejing, Zhuangzi transforms Daoist philosophy into vivid stories filled with humor and startling insight. Through his famous parables, he challenges rigid modes of thinking and invites us to reconsider ideas of freedom, identity, and transformation. We will explore his reflections on spontaneity, shifting perspectives, and living in harmony with the ever-changing Dao. This talk offers an engaging introduction to one of China’s most imaginative and liberating philosophers.
