Pilates Movement for Self-Care - Developing Your Own Practice Routine
Time & Location
About the Event
This class will use a combination of Pilates, Functional Movements, and Fascia Release Techniques.
We are masters of our own body, but it takes will and know how to initiate physical changes that will improve one’s strength and flexibility.
The journey of change is the process of taking one step forward at a time and letting it add up. It starts with going to the gym or signing up for a class. But that is typically just once or twice per week. In our busy daily lives, we have to manage either our job or family needs which could cause stress to our body, be it in our neck, shoulder, or lower back.
In this self-care workshop, we will combine the practice of both Functional Movement and Pilates. We will learn ways to have an effective home practice that work on both fascia release and muscle strengthening. We will learn how these movements work and we will finish the class with a 30-minute practice routine that is easy to do, easy to remember, and is one we can integrate into our busy lifestyle.
Every little step adds up. And the accumulation of these steps works together to release and strengthen our body. It gives us a routine that is both methodical yet fluid so we can adapt it to our daily needs.
