About the Event
Qigong Baduanjin (八段锦) is one of most famous types of Qigong in China. This traditional Chinese Qigonghas been in existence for more than 1000 years. It was very popular in Song dynasty (960-1279AD), like Taichi nowadays. Because of its effectiveness for keeping body fitness, it was accepted by Shaolin monks as one of the basic entry level exercises for Shaolin martial arts. There are eight beautiful movements in Baduanjin. The Baduanjin is an ideal lifetime exercise for most people. It is especially recommended for people who work at desks every day. These eight exercises can strengthen one's internal organs as well as one's muscles and tendons. It harmoniously combines the movements with your energy and breathing. Practicing Baduanjin will improve one's health a lot.
Master Chen who is a veteran martial arts teacher has been teaching Qigong and Taichi for 34 years, speaks fluent English.

Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend the event after receipt of confirmation, please notify us immediately by emailing events@seashanghai.org. If it's the day of the event, please ALSO notify the coordinator listed on the event by phone, text or WeChat.
If you need to cancel after March 10, our SEA cancellation policy applies which states you might still have to pay for your registered event, depending on the vendor. SEA will notify you to either collect or let you pay it at your next registered event.
