About the Event

Qigong Baduanjin is one of most famous Qigong in China. This traditional Chinese Qigong has been in existence for more than 1000 years. It was very popular in Song dynasty (960-1279AD), like Taichi nowadays. Because of its effectiveness for keeping body fitness, it was accepted by Shaolin monks as one of the basic entering level exercises for Shaolin martial arts. There are eight beautiful movements in Baduanjin. The Baduanjin is an ideal lifetime exercise for most people. It is especially recommended for people who work at desks every day. These eight exercises can strengthen one's internal organs as well as one's muscles and tendons. It combines the movements with your energy and breathing harmoniously. Practising Baduanjin will improve one's health a lot.

Master Chen who is a veteran martial arts teacher and has been teaching Qigong and Taichi for 29 years, speaks fluent English.
