Survey of Art in China with Julie Chun – What makes art public?

Time & Location

Apr 30, 2021, 1:45 PM – 4:00 PM

About the Event

Led by Julie Chun (Adjunct Professor of Art History), we will reflect on a topic most people take for granted. What is public art? Are there criteria that makes art public or private? What is the difference? Who decides? Julie Chun has spent seven years researching this topic and has published her three-part studies in international journals. By using the Jing’an Sculpture Park as a case study, this seemingly simple topic will amaze and captivate you.
