About the Event
Shanghai was built on the water and prospered by the water. As the city's mother river, Suzhou Creek has witnessed the prosperity, decline, and revival of Shanghai. Janny Chyn from Shanghai Pathways will lead us on a walk along Suzhou Creek to see the changes of the last century. We will learn the legends of a Shanghai gangster, learn the story of the flour and textile king, learn about China's first fashion magazine, and visit the site of the Battle of Shanghai.
