Tadao Ando: The Art of Architecture with Julie Chun
Time & Location
About the Event
Tadao Ando is one of the premiere world-class architects. Yet very few people are aware that he is self-taught or even know of the buildings and museums he has designed in Shanghai and China. This museum talk will take us through how and why the disciplines of art history and architecture history began coalescing as one and then departed onto their separate ways. We will also become familiar with Ando’s signature style of creating buildings and be amazed at what buildings can do when they are designed by architects who literally think outside the box.
