Time & Location
May 18, 9:45 AM – 12:00 PM
About the Event
As we all know, People’s Square is the center of Shanghai, but very few people know the historical importance of this place in the formation of Shanghai. Our guide, Tom, will show us a small hidden museum where you can see the story of the building, view the lifestyle of that time and see some starting points of China. The highlight of the tour is a local park visit. You will see the everyday life of the Shanghainese, including watching the skillful Chinese calligraphy artists “writing” on the ground with their special water brushes. The tour will also visit the Shanghai Museum, one of the best museums in China. Tom will provide in-depth narration about the collections and also show how to distinguish real antique ceramics from fakes. A simple Chinese lunch is included.
